Velum
Velum (Latin for 'sail, cover, veil') stands for:
- in antiquity a door curtain
- an item of clothing in the Catholic liturgy that is worn over the shoulders, see Velum (liturgical clothing)
- a cloth that covers the mass or communion chalice with palla and paten, the chalice veil
- a circular curtain covering the ciborium , the ciborium velum
