Association of German Concrete Engineers

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Verband Deutscher Betoningenieure eV (VDB) has set itself the task of promoting the personal exchange of ideas between concrete engineers, informing them about the latest technology in concrete and related building materials, and maintaining cooperation with other organizations whose areas of work are of the interests of the Touch VDB. The exchange of experiences within the VDB is maintained in discussions from member to member, in working meetings of the 14 VDB regional groups and in supraregional events of the national association. Special technical questions are discussed in working groups.

The VDB is the publisher of the VDB information, which appears about four times a year. It informs the members about the work results of the association committees, but also about important concrete technological developments and findings. VDB reports are published at regular intervals, which summarize the results of the VDB working groups or reproduce the presentations at the specialist conferences.

The VDB, founded in 1974, has around 1800 members.
