The Verband Deutscher Porzellangeschirrfabriken GmbH was founded in Berlin in 1899 and was a price cartel for German companies involved in porcelain production. The seat of the association was in Berlin, Luitpoldstrasse 25 II. In 1925 the association had 133 members. In 1925 the managing directors were: Director Carl Tettenborn and Director Fritz Jaeger. The chairman of the association was Rudolf Sies from Selb in 1937. In 1930 the association had 107 members, in 1937 it had 87 and in 1941 it had 117 members. The association existed until 1945 and had its seat in Berlin. Together with the in 1898 Selb founded Association Bavarian porcelain industrialist who founded the Association of German porcelain tableware factories to after 1945 Association of Ceramic Industry Association (VKI).

purpose

The purpose of the Verband Deutscher Porzellangeschirrfabriken GmbH was to implement facilities to boost the porcelain industry, in particular to achieve reasonable sales prices by agreeing general terms and conditions of sale and payment for Germany and abroad and to introduce measures to prevent overproduction . To achieve this goal, the Association of German Porcelain Tableware Manufacturers wrote an invitation to a meeting on June 9, 1899. At this meeting, it was decided to found an association. On January 25, 1900, German porcelain manufacturers founded the Association of German Porcelain Factories to raise the Porzellan-Industrie GmbH.

On June 24, 1930, the association even had its own association mark registered with the Reichswarenzeichenregister (RWZR). It is a larger and a smaller circle. In the upper part of the large circle it says: GERMAN and in the inner, smaller circle it says in the lower part: HARTPORZELLAN.
