The Association of German Travel Management (VDR) has been a registered association since 1974 with its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and, as a business travel association, represents the interests of German business enterprises.
tasks
The association wants to campaign for economical, safe, unimpeded travel opportunities for companies. He represents the interests of German business enterprises with regard to the framework and competitive conditions for business travel and mobility. The priority for the association is the dialogue on a national and international level - with its members, with providers of travel services in business travel, with political representatives and other associations. The main goal is the professionalization of business travel management .
structure
At the top of the association's structure is the honorary Presidium, which consists of four full and two extraordinary members and the full-time managing director. VDR Presidium The members work in 12 specialist committees. The association also has seven regional representatives for the implementation of regional activities.
The association's own service company, VDR Service GmbH, coordinates the service offers.
Members
The association has over 560 members. 2/3 of these consist of commercial enterprises with business travelers and 1/3 of providers of business travel services.
Services
The association wants to provide information through newsletters and forums on the association website and events. By lobbying, the VDR sees itself as an interface between business and politics and wants to help shape the framework for business trips. A VDR consolidation program enables members to purchase discounts on flights, rental cars and hotel rates. The association's own academy organizes seminars for training and further education in business travel and mobility management. The VDR Business Travel Analysis records, analyzes and describes the business travel market in Germany every year. The VDR hotel certification certifies hotels as "Certified Business Hotel", "Certified Conference Hotel" and "Certified Green Hotel" as well as conference ships as "Certified Conference Ship".
