Association of professional wrestlers
The Association of Professional Wrestlers eV (based in Berlin ) - formerly the Association of German Professional Wrestlers eV - represents the interests of professional wrestlers , pro wrestlers , referees and promoters.
In 1912 the association was founded as the International Wrestling Association eV in Berlin. Today he is one of the 5 representatives in the world league.
The association monitors professional events, issues licenses for European and world championship titles in the weight classes , puts together professional teams for organizers and takes on the professional organization of events. The association was managed until his death on November 17, 2015, by Managing Director René M. Jerzy (Berlin). The current (2009) CEO is Norbert Lehmann-Ehlert (Berlin).
