The Verdi Ice Shelf is an ice shelf in the southwest of the West Antarctic Alexander I Island . It is located in the middle of the Verdi Inlet .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named the ice shelf in connection with the inlet on December 8, 1977 after the Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi (1813-1901).
