The honorary title of Honored Activist was a state award of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded in the form of a badge. The honorary title was donated on November 1, 1953. It could be awarded to workers and employees who:

  • Over the course of six months, the technical standards were consistently highly over-fulfilled,
  • performed above-average quality work,
  • could show significant savings in material, energy and auxiliary materials,
  • through the organization of activist schools conveyed progressive working methods to constantly retarded work colleagues,
  • actively contributed to the improvement of production engineering and technology as well as work organization,
  • had contributed to their further development in occupational safety and security regulations

The honorary title was awarded on October 13 of a current year.
