Constitution of Mongolia
Mongol Ulsīn Ündsen Húlĭ ( Mongolian Монгол Улсын Үндсэн Хууль ,ᠮᠣᠩᠭᠣᠯ ᠤᠯᠤᠰ ᠤᠨ
ᠦᠨᠳᠦᠰᠦᠨ ᠬᠠᠤᠯᠢ, "Basic Law of the Mongolian State", English: Constitution of Mongolia ) is the constitution of Mongolia .
The constitution was adopted on January 13, 1992 and entered into force on February 12. Important additions were made in 1999 and 2001. The new constitution establishes representative democracy and guarantees freedom of religion , the rule of law, freedom of movement, freedom of speech, inalienable rights, the organization of government, the electoral cycle and others. It was created after the Democratic Revolution in 1990 (Ардчилсан хувьсгал, Ardchilsan Khuvĭsgal) and replaced the constitution of the Mongolian People's Republic . The preamble is followed by six chapters divided into 70 articles.
The constitution is heavily based on Western constitutions in relation to freedom of the press , inalienable rights, freedom of movement and other rights. The previous constitutions date from 1924, 1940 and 1960.

Chapter I.
This section proclaims the independence and territorial integrity of the Mongolian state. It defines the relationship between religion and state, the national coat of arms, flag and national anthem.
Chapter II
This section specifies the civil, political and human rights of individuals. Freedom of religion, the word, the press and the right to vote. Equality before the law. The right to health care, education and intellectual property. It also lists the duties of citizens, including paying taxes and serving in the army.
Chapter III
Defines the structure of the legal system and the form of the republic. Describes the structure of the government.
Chapter IV
Codifies the administrative districts of Mongolia and describes the relationship between national and local government (administration).
Chapter V
Establishes a constitutional court to compare laws with the interpretation of the constitution.
Chapter VI
Describes the change process for constitutional amendments.
