Since its inception, Iraq has had several constitutions :

• New Iraqi constitution from October 2005
• The interim constitution signed by the government council on March 8, 2004
• Iraqi Provisional Constitution of 1968 (promulgated July 16, 1970), last amended in 1995
• Iraqi Constitution of 1958 (after the proclamation of the Republic)
