Stolen goods
The stolen goods is a criminal offense, which is included in various jurisdictions. The term “stolen goods” refers to acts that maintain and reinforce an unlawful possession of a thing once established, for example through theft. Traditionally, receiving stolen goods is specifically the reselling of items even though someone knows that they have been stolen.
In German-speaking countries, the criminal offense is regulated in Germany by § 259 StGB , in Switzerland by Art. 160 StGB and in Austria by § 164 StGB .
