Traffic psychological advice

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The traffic psychological advice according to § 2a Abs. 7 Straßenverkehrsgesetz (StVG) is a legally regulated measure within the framework of the German driving license on probation . In § 71 license regulation (FeV), the recognition directives set to be met by psychologists, to become officially recognized traffic psychological consultant.

Goals of counseling

The aim of the traffic psychological counseling is to inform holders of a probationary driving license who have been noticed because of administrative offenses and / or traffic offenses about the causes of the traffic anomalies and to point out ways to more appropriate behavior in traffic. It takes place in the context of three or four individual discussions with a total duration of four hours, including one hour of preparation and follow-up.

The advice is intended to encourage you to review your own attitude to road traffic and safe behavior and to change it if necessary. This requires a thorough examination of the personal conditions of traffic anomalies (thinking about one's own behavior, dealing with time pressure, risk assessment, feelings in traffic, etc.).

execution

The implementation is carried out by traffic psychological consultants who have received a confirmation from the traffic psychology section of the BDP (Professional Association of German Psychologists) that the legal requirements have been met and are therefore officially recognized.

The state entrustment of the BDP with the task of official recognition can be found in § 71 FeV.
