Pecuniary advantage
The pecuniary advantage is a criminal term.
It describes any remuneration or any pecuniary benefit, including the avoidance of payment (see Section 11 StGB ). Examples of this include goods obtained through fraud that have not been paid for (mail order); the reward for smuggling ; the excessive rent from a usurious business . For most property crimes under German law, at least one pecuniary advantage must be sought. This must then correspond to financial loss for the victim.
