Propagation construction

The term “ Vermehrungsbau” was used in the Imperial Navy to refer to newly built ships that actually increased the number of naval units, as opposed to replacement building for a ship that replaced an older unit that was to be decommissioned.

This distinction was no longer made in the Reichsmarine and the Kriegsmarine .
