The Regulation (EU) 2015/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 May 2015 on insolvency proceedings (EIR 2015) deals with issues of bankruptcy law in cases of cross-border cases with European points of reference. As an EU regulation, the 2015 EuInsVO is directly applicable law in all EU member states and, when it came into force on June 26, 2017, replaced Regulation (EC) No. 1346/2000 on insolvency proceedings , which, however, still applies to old cases.
