Poetry

As Versdichtung one is referred to in verse , more generally, in poetic language authored poetic work, that is poetry in verse , in particular refers to the literary genres that are not the lyrics to be attributed, as the poem , the verse is implicit. A distinction is made between the epic forms :

• Verse epic and
• Verse narration, and here especially
  • Versnovelle and
  • Verse novel .

Since drama was also written in prose in the 18th and especially in the 19th century , dramas in verse have also been specifically referred to as verse dramas .

Finally, a special form that cannot be clearly assigned to any of the major genres is the verse epistle , the epistle composed in verse .
