The law on a federal pension reserve (VersRücklG) regulates the way in which a pension reserve to finance pension expenses for civil servants , judges , professional soldiers and other federal employees who are guaranteed an entitlement to pension according to civil service regulations or principles, is set up and approved finance is.

The law consists of two sections:

  • Section 1: "Federal pension reserve" special fund
  • Section 2: "Federal Pension Fund" special assets

Section 1 regulates the establishment of a special fund under the name “Federal Pension Reserve” for the implementation of Section 14a of the Federal Salary Act. This special fund serves the federal government to secure future pension expenses.

Section 2 contains the necessary regulations for the establishment of a special fund under the name “Federal Pension Fund”.

A corresponding ordinance was issued to implement the law.

The special funds are administered by the Federal Ministry of the Interior .
