Delay line

Delay line (VZL) is a military term. It describes a guideline for the spatial and temporal regulation of operations in delayed combat. Delay lines are set at right angles to the enemy's presumed direction of attack in sections of the terrain, which make it easier for the troops to cohesive in the conduct of operations, but can also offer them support for a temporary defense . They should be easy to find in the field even at night .
