Vesperweiler is a district of the community Waldachtal on the edge of the northern Black Forest in the valley of the Waldach with around 250 inhabitants in the Freudenstadt district . Vesperweiler is divided into two parts: on the one hand the settlement built mainly between the 1960s and 1980s and on the other hand the old town center (called “Flecka”) on the Waldach. The village was founded by monks from the Bebenhausen monastery in 1088.

Historic sawmill

The Mönchhof sawmill, which has existed since at least 1435 and is still functional today, is worth seeing. The sawmill is now privately owned.
