ViFaArt

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ViFaArt , the virtual specialist library for contemporary art , photography and design , was built between 2001 and 2004 with funding from the German Research Foundation at the special collection area library for contemporary art from 1945 including photography, industrial design and commercial graphics of the Saxon State and University Library Dresden and until the end of 2011 operated under this name. Users were given access to pictures, books, films, Internet resources, magazine articles and artist data.

Redesign

After the funding for the virtual specialist library arthistoricum.net had expired , it was decided to combine the previously separate offers "ViFaArt - Virtual specialist library for contemporary art" and "arthistoricum.net - Virtual specialist library art history" in a joint virtual specialist library for art under the name arthistoricum.net to merge. This means that, for the first time, comprehensive research options for the entire range of art-historical topics are made possible in one platform.
