Victor (rock opera)
Victor (exact title Victor a Symphonic Poem ) is a rock opera from 1975 that was composed by Manuel Rigoni and Richard Schönherz . The orchestral passages were arranged by Richard Schönherz.
The recordings were made in the following studios: Abbey Road Studios , Chipping Norton Studio , AIR Studios England , Europa Sound Studio and Germany Austrophon Studio , Vienna.
The double LP appeared lavishly furnished with several-page illustrations of the story. In the music pieces, classical orchestral passages alternate with rock pieces and songs.
The director Walter Bockmayer filmed the story in 1979 for ZDF , starring Peter Kaghanovitch , Eddie Constantine , Barbara Valentin , Udo Kier , Kurt Raab and Hans-Christoph Blumenberg .

The boy Victor grows up in a wrecked circus. His mother is in a wheelchair, she has had an accident as a trapeze artist. Victor's father works as a clown and wants his son to be a clown too. Victor has to perform, cannot cope with the role, and the circus becomes a nightmare for him. In the end, he leaves his parents and the circus.
