Victory amplification
Victory Amplification is a British manufacturer of guitar amplifiers in tube technology . Martin Kidd, who previously designed such amplifiers at Cornford Amplification, is responsible for the electrical design of the amplifiers .
Victory was best known for its Compact Series, amplifier tops in the so-called lunchbox format. These are so small and light that you can easily take them with you on the plane as hand luggage - an idea that supposedly goes back to the much touring guitarist Guthrie Govan . These were supplemented by larger amplifiers in classic wooden housings and later also by preamplifiers in pedal design.
