Vidasil

Vidasil is an extremely temperature- resistant material. It was developed by the Yugoslav Vida Popovic . Vidasil withstands temperatures of up to 1500 ° C. It is extremely acid-proof. Vidasil isolates voltages up to 3000 volts . The material appears to be particularly suitable for applications in metallurgy and shipbuilding. It was awarded a prize at the Brussels Inventors' Fair in 1986.
