Four books (Confucianism)
The Four Books ( Chinese 四 書 / 四 书 , Pinyin Sì Shū ) are four canonical books of Confucian teaching that the neo-Confucian Zhu Xi compiled during the Song Dynasty . They are:
- The great learning ( 大學 / 大学 , Dà Xué )
- The Analects of Confucius ( 論語 / 论语 , Lúnyŭ )
- Center and measure ( 中庸 / 中庸 , Zhōng Yōng )
- Mengzi ( 孟子 , Mèngzĭ )
