The Vietnamese language Wikipedia is the Vietnamese version of the international Wikipedia project.

history

The Vietnamese language Wikipedia was set up in November 2003 and counted 100 articles in March 2004, 1,000 in April 2005 and 10,000 in August 2006. The growth then accelerated. In August 2009, 100,000 items had already been reached, in July 2011 already 250,000 and in September 2012 500,000. The number of 1,000,000 articles was also achieved less than two years later in June 2014 through the use of bots. After that, growth declined again. In May 2017, the Vietnamese language version counted 1.2 million articles.
