Vigia (pictogram)

As Vigia is called a warning in the chart (also approximate partial) mounted sign on a position for a not precisely known, or mapped , to cover shoal . This could be an underwater rock, an undisclosed wreck or another nautical obstacle , for example . The term is derived from the Spanish word vigía , from the Portuguese word vigia , or from the Latin word vigilare for "to be alert".
