Villa Dijkzigt

The Villa Dijkzigt is a town house in Rotterdam . It was built in 1851/52 on behalf of the Van Hoboken family according to designs by the Rotterdam-born architect Johan Frederik Metzelaar on the southern West Zeedijk on the Land van Hoboken , the family's estate.

In 1987 the Natural History Museum Rotterdam moved into the villa. The neoclassical building was expanded in 1995 to include a glass pavilion. It is listed as a Rijksmonument .
