Villa Green

The Villa Grün in Dillenburg , the former district town in the Hessian Lahn-Dill district , was built in 1914/15. The building at Schloßberg 3 near the Wilhelmsturm is now a museum and a protected architectural monument .

history

Entrance museum

The Villa Grün was built on behalf of the mine and smelter owner Carl Grün . The city acquired the building in 1979 and handed it over to the Dillenburg Museum Association. The museum of economic history has been on the premises since 1983. The economic development and the structure of the dill area are exhibited in over 20 rooms of the villa. In the kitchen department there are exhibits from the Middle Ages to modern times. In addition, special exhibitions are regularly held in the museum.
