Villa Middendorf

The Villa Middendorf is a building built in 1924 in Vechta .

The villa was designed by the architect Johannes Wohlschläger from Oldenburg , who was a friend of the client Josef Middendorf. The fixed furniture was made around 1922 by master carpenter Diers from Oldenburg. Diers was the master carpenter of Friedrich August von Oldenburg , the last reigning Grand Duke of Oldenburg . After the Second World War , the property was inhabited by the then British city governor Major Bennet, who headed the city administration of Vechta during the British occupation from here.

The villa was completely restored and modernized from October 2012 to May 2013 in cooperation with the monument protection authority of the Vechta district.
