The Villa Sunneschy in Stäfa ( Switzerland ) was built in 1906 in Art Nouveau style and has been owned by the municipality of Stäfa since 1978. In 2001 the house was extensively restored.

On several occasions, the Villa Sunneschy only narrowly escaped destructive interference. Some of the stewards acquired the Villa Sunneschy in 1952 through a specially founded and financed cooperative in order to prevent a sale to outsiders and to maintain the property in the long term. The extensive park around the villa became a popular public bathing area. The rooms, which have been restored to their original state, are rented out for events and are available for cultural and leisure purposes.

In January 2010, the Children's and Youth Museum Foundation submitted an overall concept to the municipal council for use as a cultural and leisure facility. The "Villa Sunneschy" was to become a meeting point for the population, companies and organizations of Stäfa and the surrounding area. Numerous collaborations are sought in the context of events, exhibitions and everyday operations.
