Villa Toledo (Arcachon)
The Villa Toledo in Arcachon , a French commune in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was built in 1862. The villa is on the Allée du Moulin Rouge in the residential district of Ville d'Hiver .
The villa, which was built by the Compagnie du Midi , was initially used as a sports hall . It was built for the entrepreneur Jean Monpermey according to plans by the architect Paul Régnauld . In 1878 the building was converted into a residential building. The architecture consists of a mixture between a Swiss chalet and a half-timbered house from the 16th century. On the upper floor there is a wraparound balcony and a decorative open space on the gable .
The later owner, the banker Noël, baptized the villa with the name Villa Toldeo , in memory of his successful business in Spain.
