Vilma Dambrauskaitė

Vilma Dambrauskaitė (* 1985 ) is a Lithuanian correspondence chess player. In 2001 she became International Correspondence Chess Champion for Women. She has been the women's correspondence chess grandmaster since 2005. Vilma Dambrauskaitė is a member of the Lithuanian women's correspondence chess team. With the team she won the 6th Women's Correspondence Chess Olympiad (1997-2006). At the 9th World Cup for Women in Correspondence Chess, she took 3rd place. Vilma Dambrauskaitė was also active in close-range chess. Since October 2007, her Elo number has remained unchanged in 2019, which is also the highest Elo number she has achieved.

Her father is Virginijus Dambrauskas (* 1962), who holds the title of International Master in local chess and an Honored International Master in correspondence chess. Her sister Jurgita Dambrauskaitė (* 1990) is also a correspondence chess player and holds the title of international correspondence chess master for women.
