Vinata (mythology)

Vinata ( Sanskrit विनता vinatā ) is a figure in Indian mythology . She is the daughter of Daksha , wife of Kashyapa and mother of Aruna and Garuda .

According to the Bhagavata Purana , she was the wife of Tarkshya or Garuda.

The asteroid (2347) Vinata is named after her.
