Vincent van Leeuwen

Vincentius Maria van Leeuwen (born July 26, 1963 in Bodegraven / Netherlands ) is a Dutch visual artist.

Study and career

Leeuwen studied from 1981 to 1984 at the MSPO de Lok, Leiden, specializing in cultural youth work.

From 1988 to 1991 he was in various departments of the Royal Academy of Art, The Hague. From 1994 to 2014 he was a freelance visual glass artist in the Atelier van Leeuwen, Bodegraven, Netherlands . He moved to Leer in 2007. In 2015 he founded a glass glass art company, Leer Germany, since July 1st he has been working as a visual glass artist

One of his greatest works is an illuminated, glass Kerstboom with a total height of 10 meters. The work of art found its place in 2006 in Kongsberg / Denmark.

On the occasion of Queen Beatrix's 75th birthday, the history specialist Vereniging van Oranje-Nassau bought a glass silhouette, made by V. van Leeuwen, exhibited in the Palast het Loo, Appeldoorn (NL).
