The Vintage V100MRPGM Lemon Drop is an electric guitar model from the musical instrument brand Vintage . This series-produced model imitates a legendary example of the Gibson Les Paul type , which guitarist Peter Green played in the rock band Fleetwood Mac , and which is famous among experts for its special sound properties.

General

When developing the Vintage Lemon Drop , British electric guitar specialist Trevor Wilkinson was inspired by the legendary Gibson Les Paul Standard from 1959, which Fleetwood Mac guitarist Peter Green played in the 1960s and which it played in the early 1970s -Years given to guitarist Gary Moore . The construction, equipment and design of the vintage guitar model largely correspond to the original.

The specialty of the Vintage Lemon Drop is the way it is equipped with pickups . The neck-side of the two double- coil pickups, both Wilkinson® MWVC humbuckers , were installed rotated by 180 ° around the vertical axis as in the original . In addition, as with the original, the magnet in the neck pickup was installed the other way around, so that when the three-stage pickup selector switch is in the middle position (both pickups are activated), the reverse polarity of the pickup in the neck position creates the characteristic out-of-phase circuit of the prototype can use and thus achieve a special sound.

The mahogany corpus design of the guitar model is a domed ceiling made of maple with flamed maple veneer decorated. The paintwork of the instrument cover in a golden yellow shade is also based on that of the original. The mahogany neck contributes to a warm and full sound of the guitar with a long decaying tone ( sustain ) .

The guitar is made in Vietnam .
