The term Virtual Manuscript Room means a virtual manuscript reading room in which digitized manuscripts can be accessed online .

The offers range from a simple presentation of the manuscript photos to a link with metadata. In addition to the pictures, advanced offers often also offer a transcript and indexing of the picture content. In this way, a specific page of a manuscript can be searched directly.
