New Testament Virtual Manuscript Room
The New Testament Virtual Manuscript Room (NT.VMR) is a virtual manuscript reading room in which New Testament manuscripts are made available online .
In the globally unique project of the Institute for New Testament Text Research in Münster / Westphalia, information on manuscripts of the New Testament is offered and linked to the digitized photos and transcriptions. The aim of the cross-generational project is to make all of the 5500+ Greek manuscripts of the New Testament accessible in the NT.VMR.
VMR
Individual manuscripts can be selected and displayed in the Virtual Manuscript Room. In order to meet different scientific purposes, three different viewer modes are available. The main mode is reading mode , which allows you to flip through a manuscript page by page, with the image and the transcript displayed at the same time.
The digital copies are provided by the owning institutions. Either newly made digital copies or scans of black and white microfilms from the 1960s to 1980s in the INTF archive can be used.
