The Virus Bulletin is an English-language specialist magazine about computer viruses , worms and other types of malware .

It initially appeared as a monthly print magazine, to the distribution of PDF - Downloads was changed. In July 2014, the monthly cycle was also canceled. Since then, individual articles have been published almost every day and are freely available for download on the publisher's website.


history

Virus Bulletin was founded in 1989 by Jan Hruska and Peter Lammer , among others , who are also co-founders of the British security software company Sophos . In the beginning, the editorial team was also located in the headquarters of Sophos, in Abingdon, England. The Virus Bulletin always emphasized that it had complete editorial independence and that it did not give preference to Sophos products in its tests and evaluations.
