Viscount Hanworth
Viscount Hanworth , of Hanworth in the County of Middlesex , is a hereditary British title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom .
Award
The title was created on January 17, 1936 for the politician and lawyer Ernest Pollock, 1st Baron Hanworth . After he had been a member of the House of Commons for thirteen years , he was promoted to Attorney General and finally to Master of the Rolls .
Subordinate title
The first Viscount was already on November 27, 1922 in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom as Baronet , of Hanworth in the County of Middlesex, and on January 28, 1926 in the Peerage of the United Kingdom as Baron Hanworth , of Hanworth in the County of Middlesex. These titles are listed as subordinate titles by the respective Viscount.
The respective Viscount also stands in the line of succession for the dignity of a Pollock Baronet of Hatton (created 1866).
