Vjenceslava , also in the spelling Věnceslava , is a female given name, which is mainly used in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as in neighboring Slavic countries. It is the feminine form of the masculine name Václav (German Wenzel). Diminutive are Vjenka, Vjena, Slávka, Venca or Vjenuška. The pronunciation is wjen-tze-sla-wa . Analogous to its male counterpart, Wenzel , the name means the one crowned with fame .
