Vocal meditation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vocal meditation is a technique for hypnosis induction and hypnotherapeutic use. For children, vocal meditation is also known as magic word meditation .

Sounds, in this case self-selected vowels , are used. The client focuses on this and so falls into a trance . The instruction is ritualized in order to establish rapport with the therapist. This technique is suitable for test subjects who are particularly responsive to the auditory system (auditory representation system). It is also suitable for anxious or adolescent clients because this form of hypnosis induction appears permissive (permissive) and unauthorized. There are no special requirements for concentration. Another advantage is that no theory has to be explained to the client, but a trance occurs quickly. There is an analogy to mantra meditation, which is used spiritually and not therapeutically.

As with all methods of hypnotherapy , hypnosis should only be used by professionals.
