Vogt-Schild was a Swiss media company based in the canton of Solothurn . It published the daily newspapers Solothurner Zeitung , Grenchner Tagblatt , Langenthaler Tagblatt and Berner Rundschau and held 40 percent of the shares in the local radio station Radio 32 . On January 1, 2009, Vogt-Schild Holding AG was taken over by AZ Medien AG .

history

The Vogt-Schild group of companies employed around 330 people and in 2008 achieved sales of 85 million Swiss francs. In addition to the daily newspapers mentioned, it also published the weekly newspapers Azeiger , Grenchner Stadtanzeiger , Wochenblatt for Birseck and Dorneck , Wochenblatt for Schwarzbubenland and Berner Landbote . The publishing portfolio also included the specialist journals wir eltern , CR Chemische Rundschau , CHemie plus and SwissPlastics .

Vogt-Schild's printing business (newspaper printing and customer printing) was merged with that of AZ Medien in 2005. Vogt-Schild Medien AG became Solothurner Zeitung AG in 2010. Since then, the name “Vogt-Schild” has continued to exist in the company Vogt-Schild Druck AG, located in Derendingen.

In 2018, AZ Medien brought Vogt-Schild Druck AG into the CH Media joint venture founded with the NZZ media group , which is owned equally by both groups. The joint venture includes the regional newspapers and the radio and TV stations of both companies. Operations started on October 1, 2018.

Integration of the AZ media group's commercial print shop into Vogt-Schild Druck AG. Assumption of management responsibility for the print shop in Aarau (8-color, 10-color BOF, 32-page web offset, all KBA) with around 70 people.
  • 2007: 100 years of Vogt-Schild
  • 2008: Closure of the Aarau production site
  • 2009: Vogt-Schild is transferred to AZ Medien as a 100% subsidiary
