Vojvođanska banka

The Vojvodjanska Banka is a universal bank based in Novi Sad , Serbia. From 2006 to 2017 the bank was part of the National Bank of Greece .

Today's Vojvođanska Banka was founded as a cooperative bank in Sombor in 1868. In 1962 it was completely transformed into a commercial bank and renamed Privredna banka . After the takeover of Komercijalna banka in Senta, Komercijalna banka in Bačka Topola, Sremska banka in Sremska Mitrovica, Kreditna banka in Kula and Banatska banka in Zrenjanin, the bank was renamed Vojvođanska banka in 1973 . It became the leading bank in northern Serbia and one of the largest banks in what was then Yugoslavia. In 1995 the bank was converted into a public limited company and in 2006 the National Bank of Greece acquired a majority stake .

Even after the takeover by NBG, Vojvođanska Banka has retained its identity. New are charitable projects in the context of corporate responsibility, such as the promotion of the Serbian Olympic Committee and the Aviation Museum in Belgrade. In 2008 the branches of the National Bank of Greece ad Beograd were taken over and integrated.

The bank has 23 branches and 172 branches in Serbia, mainly in Vojvodina and central Serbia, the latter were branches of the National Bank of Greece before the takeover of Vojvođanska Banka.
