The Volato 400 is designed as a low- wing aircraft with a conventional tail unit and has a fixed nose wheel landing gear. The machine is made almost entirely of composite materials. The cabin has four seats and can be entered from the side via the wings through two doors. The machine can be equipped with either the Lycoming YIO-360 with 134 kW or the Lycoming IO-540 with 191 kW.
