Simone Piazzola
Simone Piazzola (* 1985 in Verona ) is an Italian opera singer with a baritone voice .
Life
Youth and education
In 1996, at the age of eleven, Piazzola began his musical training with the soprano Alda Borelli Morgan. In 2004 he had the opportunity to take part in concerts organized by the Fondazione Arena di Verona .
Career
Piazzola had first engagements in Umberto Giordano's ll Ré at the Teatro Umberto Giordano in Foggia , in Giuseppe Verdi's Rigoletto , conducted by Bruno Campanella, at the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and as Count Luna in Verdi's Il trovatore in Spoleto . This was followed by his debut as Marcello in La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice in July 2008.
The 2009/2010 opera season saw Piazzola also as Marcello at the Teatro Vittorio Emanuele in Messina . He also sang Germont in Verdi's La traviata in Verona and Florence , Cecil in Maria Stuarda by Gaetano Donizetti and Sharpless in Puccini's Madama Butterfly in Venice, Beijing and Naples . He performed with Plácido Domingo at a gala concert in the Verona Arena .
In the opera season 2010/2011 he made his debut at the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania as Valentin in Faust by Charles Gounod and was heard under Daniele Callegari at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo in Puccini's La Bohème . In Jesi , Fermo and Treviso he gave the Germont at the Teatro Regio in Parma in Verdi's La traviata and at the Teatro Real in Madrid the Paolo in Verdi's Simon Boccanegra and at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo the Sonora in Puccini's La fanciulla del West .
Since July 2013 Simone Piazzola could be heard in the following roles:
