Michele Mariotti

Michele Mariotti (* 1979 in Urbino ) is an Italian conductor .

Life

Mariotti studied composition at the Rossini Conservatory in his native Pesaro . In 2005 he made his debut as opera conductor in Rossini's Barbiere di Siviglia at the Salerno Opera . In November 2007 he directed Giuseppe Verdi's Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Comunale di Bologna , where he was chief conductor from February 2008.

In September 2011 he conducted a guest performance of the Bologna Opera in Japan for the first time ; Bellini's Puritani and Bizet's Carmen were on the program.

From 2012 to 2018 he was married to the Russian soprano Olga Peretyatko .
