Pablo Heras Casado (born November 21, 1977 in Granada , Spain , as Pablo Heras Casado ) is a Spanish conductor .

Heras-Casado studied art history and acting at the University of Granada and then conducting at the Universidad de Alcalá . Masterclasses led him to, among others, Christopher Hogwood . During his studies he founded the Ensemble Capella Exaudi and the experimental group Sonóora .

The conductor came with host concerts with the Berlin Philharmonic , the NDR Elbe Philharmonic Orchestra , the Staatskapelle Berlin , the Mahler Chamber Orchestra , the Orchester Philharmonique de Radio France , the Boston Symphony Orchestra , the Cleveland Orchestra , the Rotterdam Philharmonic , at the Salzburg Festival , with the Munich Philharmonic , the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (with whom he recorded Symphony No. 2 "Lobgesang" by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy ), the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich and the Mariinsky Orchestra in Saint Petersburg . He also works regularly for the Ensemble intercontemporain and the Klangforum Wien . Since 2011 he has been Principal Conductor of the Orchestra of St. Luke's in New York City.
