The University of Granada ( Spanish Universidad de Granada , UGR) is a university in the Spanish city ​​of Granada . It was founded in 1531 and is divided into 17 faculties .

history

In 1526 a college for the study of logic , philosophy , theology and canon law was founded on the initiative of Emperor Charles V in Granada. The college was in 1531 by a papal decree Clement VII.
