The People's Liberation Army of Kurdistan ( Kurdish : Artêşa Rizgariya Gelê Kurdistan , ARGK ) was an underground paramilitary organization of the Kurdistan Workers' Party .

The ARGK (Artêşa Rizgariya Gelê Kurdistan) People's Liberation Army of Kurdistan was founded on the decision of the 3rd PKK Congress in October 1986. Previously, the armed units were called HRK (Hêzên Rizgariya Kurdistan) "Kurdistan Liberation Units". The ARGK was transferred to the Hêzên Parastina Gel ("People's Defense Forces") in 2000 .
