Full text database

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Full text database refers to an electronic collection of full texts . In contrast to bibliographic databases , in which only the descriptions of publications are recorded, the complete texts of the publications can be called up directly here.

However, a full- text database does not automatically mean that the documents are indexed using full-text indexing. It is also possible that these are only made accessible in terms of form and content using bibliographical information.

Illegal full text databases are known as shadow libraries .
