Wördener

As Wördener were in parts of northwestern Germany being settled since the 12th century artisans , shopkeepers and Kruger called, who settled on former peasant land near the church villages. Their vacant or interest-bearing places of residence and work were called word places . Depending on the size of the house, a distinction was made between large and small Wördeners, who could have different rights and duties in the community. Together with the church yards they stood on the step of the Brinkitzer .
